How to Request a Product From Abroad

Shiply Egypt is the traveler marketplace at shiplyegypt.com. Shiply Egypt connects customers with independent travelers for products, customer-owned shipments, bags, and SHEIN orders. Start by choosing the service and, for product requests, who buys. Your request and deal show offers, negotiation, payment instructions, required proof, and delivery milestones. Customer purchase, traveler purchase, and SHEIN do not use one identical sequence.

Create your account

Sign up for Shiply Egypt and complete basic profile details so travelers can recognize you during negotiation. Use accurate contact information—deals move faster when both sides can respond promptly.

Start a marketplace request

Open Create a Request and choose Send items, Send a bag, or SHEIN as appropriate. For a product request, choose Customer buys or Traveler buys. Customer buys means you purchase or send the goods; Traveler buys means the traveler purchases the agreed products after payment verification. The form asks for different details depending on this choice.

You can save a draft and finish it later, or publish a completed public request for eligible travelers. A direct request starts from a particular traveler trip. Sending your own bag and arranging a SHEIN shipment have their own form and fulfillment steps; do not describe all three services as the traveler shopping for you.

Describe the product clearly

Describe the exact items with category, quantity, product links or photos where useful, relevant shipment weight, and notes about model, size, or color. For traveler purchase, include the required item purchase amounts. A customer-owned product value is not automatically an amount reimbursed to the traveler.

Accurate categories, quantities, and weights help the request use an applicable trip rate where one exists. The traveler can use category pricing with a per-unit or per-kilogram basis, general weight pricing, or negotiated terms. If required pricing information is missing, discuss the reward rather than assuming a free or universal delivery charge.

Origin, destination, and budget

Enter the relevant origin and destination, dates, and delivery preferences. For a direct request, check that the trip supports your route, service, and goods. Distinguish the traveler's overseas receiving address from your final delivery location.

Read the pricing summary as separate amounts: traveler reward, applicable Shiply fee, and product purchase reimbursement only when the traveler buys. A request estimate is not an accepted deal. Use the pricing guide to understand the components and review the payment amount after agreement; do not pay from an unsupported AI answer.

Public vs private requests

Public requests can be discovered by travelers browsing the marketplace (subject to Shiply’s visibility and deadline rules).

Private requests are used when you send a request directly from a specific traveler’s trip. Only that traveler (and you) should see that private request in the normal marketplace flow—useful when you already found a matching trip.

Offers, negotiation, and selecting a traveler

Travelers may send offers or counters on your request. You can accept, reject, or counter until you agree on final terms.

You can also browse traveler trips first, then request directly from a trip that matches your route and timing. Either path should end with an accepted offer before payment unlocks.

Pay through Shiply, then track delivery

For standard customer-owned delivery, agree on terms, let the traveler save the receiving address, then follow the available payment instructions and upload payment proof. After Shiply verifies payment, follow the address-disclosure and shipment action in your deal. The traveler confirms collection with proof. For Traveler buys, the traveler waits for verified payment before buying and uploading purchase proof.

SHEIN differs: agreement and receiving address come before shipment arrival and actual-weight proof. The agreed rate and actual weight determine the reward, then customer payment and verification precede delivery and payout review. For every service, collection or purchase proof is separate from final delivery. Confirm receipt after handoff; payout eligibility remains subject to Shiply review.

Tips for better matches

Browse open trips while your request is live, keep communication on-platform, and avoid off-platform payments. Read Trust & Safety before you commit to a deal.

  • Be specific about the exact product and acceptable substitutes.
  • Prefer travelers with verification badges and clear trip dates.
  • Confirm meetup or delivery preferences early.
